The Chinese Championship came to an end earlier today. Ding Liren maintained his torrid pace knocking off top seed Wang Yue. At 9/11 his performance rating was 2868. Tied for second two points back were Ni Hua, Zhou Jianchao, and Zhao Jun.
In the ladies event, the leaders met in the final round with Zhang Xiaowen upsetting Zhao Xue to take first place by 1/2 point. A fine victory for the 21 year old who is only 12th ranked among the active female players in China.
