PanAm 2018 - Canadian Team Registration & Selection Criteria

The following are selection criteria of official players that will representing Canada in the upcoming PanAm 2018 in Santiago Chile between July 21st-July 29th.


1st place winners from PAN AM 2017 are considered official players in addition to the 12 players chosen by each federation and the NAYCC 2017 1st place winners. This leaves only Emma He as official player + the other 12

As for the other 12 players, they are the 2nd and 3rd place winners from 2017 CYCC
If the 2nd and 3rd winners from 2017 not interested, we will choose the highest rated in each category that registered by May 1st.

CFC Youth funds will only pay the entrée fees for official players and team t-shirts.

Christina Tao volunteered to be HoD if one of her daughter is selected as the official player to the event.

As for the other 12 players, they are the 2nd and 3rd place winners from 2017 CYCC

To be more precise they are the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place winners from 2017 CYCC who did not attend either WYCC or NAYCC as an official player as a result of their CYCC performance. There would be 24 players if we took the 2nd and 3rd place winners and that is not strictly possible.
