The Chess Foundation of Canada makes grants for various Chess related activities in Canada.

It is governed by 5 Trusteed 4 of which serve for rotating 4 year terms, 1 for a one year term.

The outgoing 2022-2023 board was

2019-2023 Lloyd Lombard
2020-2024 Paul Leblanc
2021-2025 Ian Findlay
2022-2026 Hugh Brodie
2022-2023 Ilia Bluvshtein

Thus both Mr. Lombard and Mr. Bluvshtein will be leaving the board (but may be nominated for new terms)

In this thread please make your nominations for the 2023-2027 Trustee. Please make your nominations for the 2023-2024 Trustee in thread 6.2

Are either of them interested in a new term?

They may well be but haven't said anything to me.

(By the way, I'm mystified why your posting doesn't say "CFC Voting Member". Unfortunately this is called "debugging" and I will be following up with you by email. Mr Lombard is no longer a Voting Member - he's been replaced by Roger Langen also from NS, but it is NOT required the Foundation nominee be on the current Assembly to be nominated. LC)

Well, I would nominate Lloyd Lombard if he accepts another term.

You'll figure it out eventually...

Lloyd Lombard just informed me by email that at this point, he doesn't intend to re-offer at the CFC. So I withdraw my nomination, such as it was.

I nominate Roger Langen of Nova Scotia to a 4 year term. Roger has indicated that he is willing to stand.
